Our physiognomy

For almost forty years the School of Theology of AUTh has formed its own identity and physiognomy. it consistently aimed and served the creative synthesis of tradition and renewal,  expressed in a liberal way and in an ecumenical spirit. The school of Theology  cultivates systematically the theological dialogue with the academic and the research community. Monitors and participates in the developments in the fields of the scientific study of religion and culture,  interreligious dialogue and  cultural pluralism, religious education, in the framework of European Higher Education. Our School pays special attention to the study of the Orthodox Tradition and the culture that originates from it and embodies it in various monuments of speech and art. The methodological tools of approach and research of these monuments are free from confessional bonds and follow international and international standards as well as  the principle of academic freedom. The above mentioned elements  shape the physiognomy of the School ofTheology and its philosophy, which is based on the threefold Openness – Dialogue – Culture.
