Brief CV
Dr. I. Kourembelis was born in Athens in 1965 and studied theology at the Universities of Thessaloniki, Erlangen and Heidelberg (Germany). He is a doctor of the Department of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1998) on the topic of the dissertation “The Christology of Romanus Melodos and its Soteriological Significance”. He is a professor at the Theology Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and teaches “Dogmatic History” and “Dogmatic and Symbolic Theology”. He has been awarded for his scientific work for the year 2016 with the international prize of the “Joseph Ratzinger-Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation”.
