Panagiotis Skaltsis is Professor of Liturgy at the Department of Theology of AUTh. (Government Gazette 599 / 26-6-08 TG). He studied at the Aristotle University and Liturgy at the ISTITUTO ORIENTALE in Rome. He teaches History and Theology of Worship, Hymnology and Interpretation of liturgical texts, history and theology of the Mysteries, Christian Celebration. His main scientific works are: 1) Marriage and Divine Liturgy. Contribution to the history and Theology of Worship, Thessaloniki 1998. 2) The tradition of common and individual prayer, with special reference to the Clock of Thikara, Thessaloniki 2008. 3) Functional Studies 1 and 2, Thessaloniki 2007 and 2009 respectively. He is a member of the International Society Sezione Liturgica and a member of Synodal Committees of the Church of Greece. He is also co-responsible for the weekly functional Exercises of the students in the Chapel of the Theological School.
